This mitten, may I call My Dear, was born in the early 1990 and has a little story.

Knit-magazines then were not ready to publish a fingers-free model 'cause it looked a bit odd and seemed like it wasn't warm enough. Model was anyway timeless on it's streamlined way and luckily Marimekko was willing to have it in the shops - but sadly, it was not possible to prepare industrially. Some handmade pairs were later available in Design Forum and in some fashion boutiques. Finally, mitten-instruction found it's way to Novita-magazine: you may knit countless amount of removable covers and mix the colors those please you.
Mittens with or without the cover (the gloves as well). 
Original main knit-idea is that cover-line looks vertical, mitten under horizontal.
